2013 Peiragal from Marchesi di Barolo

Marchesi1

Marchesi di Barolo 2013 Peiragal is made from 100% Barbera grapes from the region of Alba. In the glass this wine is a gorgeous ruby color with aromas of ripe black cherry, black currant, raspberry, and vanilla. It’s a full bodied Barbera with moderate acidity and luscious soft tannins. It’s drinking perfectly at 2 years post harvest. This wine is perfect for the fall season. It will pair well with pastas, meats, and hearty stews. I paired it with angel hair pasta, and a smoky, chorizo sausage and chunky tomato basil sauce.
